This week, on As The Barrel Turns, a potential setback was narrowly avoided. In an uncharacteristic burst of bravado, Dr. Thomson chose to forego the accurate measuring of the degree of rotation and opted to just “eyeball it.”

While the barrel landed in the proper position, Thomson’s blatant omission of the pre-turn warm up aggravated an old baseball injury. In a post-turn interview Thomson grinned through his pain and quipped, “My shoulder is as close as ice will ever get to this fine whisky.”

I see that you have been maturing your whisky for two weeks already. You should, by now, see some noticeable changes in the colour, nose and taste of the whisky and I strongly suggest you sample it!
It is hoped he makes the adjustments before and not after the tasting.
