It Snowed Again

This is my mailbox. I have not used Photoshop or taken the picture at a tricky angle to enhance the effect. I have not given nature a helping hand or rearranged the snowfall in any way.

This is how much snow fell the other day. This is how it landed.

And this is why I spiked my post-shoveling hot chocolate with a mixture of Frangelico and Lamb’s Navy Rum (150 proof, no less!)

More has fallen since. I’m heading out to shovel. You take a tour and then tell me your favourite winter-warming drink. If this weather keeps up I’ll have to expand my repertoire.

How funny – I used to have the same mail box at my old house except in white.

I guess we’re kindred spirits in more than just food blogging!

Oh. My. God. It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Keep drinking, friend… I don’t think it matters what you drink, just keep drinking.

The pictures really are lovely.

We got over a foot of snow in Boston this weekend, I love the snow, don’t love to shovel it!

Dear Charmian,
Your pictures make the snow look lovely – much better than it looks on the end of a shovel!!
I thawed out with some seriously marshmallowed hot chocolate. Why not make my drink look the drifts I just left behind??
Cheers,]
R.

I remember snow like that, especially when it gets all weird and bunchy on top. Keep your spirits way up.

Dana, I knew your good taste extended beyond the kitchen!

Cheryl, it’s beautiful but eye candy only goes so far when you’re aching from shoveling. Just ask One Food Guy!

One Food Guy, may I call you OFG? Hmmm. Perhaps not. Anyway, hope you got shoveled out.

Robin, there are times when marshmallows are not enough. That dumping of snow was one of them. Bring on the booze!

Lisa, weird and bunchy describes more than just the snow. That might be my new motto…
