Murphy can be quite the Grinch. Fortunately, we didn't starve.

And lavendar always tastes like summer, so it was a lovely way to break in the oven.

@Cheryl Arkison, Thanks again for the suggestion, Cheryl. I'm so glad I can cook without wondering if the dish will emerge raw on the inside or burnt to a crisp.

Very happy for all of you: Charmian, Cheryl, and Kajiji. Especially happy since I haven't known what to do with the rest of my culinary lavender since making shortbread with it many months ago. Take that, Murphy! (Oh wait, non sequitur?)

I am soooo happy for you (that's really happy you know) that you solved your problem on kijij for less than the repair costs would have been (if the parts were available). I love kijiji and I love when people can save some money. Wahoo. And of course, the cupcakes look amazing and I will be trying them with the lavender just for kicks. :)

Wonderful! So happy you're back in baking business, Charmian. What a great way to celebrate the return of your oven. Very excited to learn more about this Kijiji business as well.

As for the capricious cupcakes ... count me in! I adore lavender. They look amazing. :)
